Our founder & CEO, Stephen Layfield, is an experienced and well recognised financial services industry professional with over twenty-seven years experience.  He is praised for his caring nature, analytical skills and expert handling of complex financial matters.

Stephen has enjoyed an extensive career working across broader financial services including financial planning, portfolio management, strategy consulting and med-tech commercialisation. He is passionate about making a positive and sustainable impact for both private and business clients.

Stephen’s twenty-seven years in financial services has been spread across large global and small Australian investment banks, large Australian banks, boutique advisory firms and family offices. In these roles, Stephen has gained experience across corporate strategy, raising capital, portfolio management, med-tech commercialisation, business development, data & digital transformation, growing relationships across diverse stakeholders, building culture, leadership, and regulation & compliance.

He holds a Global Executive Master of Business Administration (GEMBA) from Monash University Business School. Through this cutting-edge program Stephen studied at three top global business schools (INSEAD in France, CEIBS in Shanghai and NYU Stern in New York) which further developed his understanding of leading global business thinking.

In addition to his Global Executive MBA, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an ASX Responsible Executive qualification, is an Associate Member of the Self-Managed Super Fund Association, member of the AMBA (Association of MBA's), and was a former Master Stockbroking Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

Stephen is firmly committed to continuous learning and being curious, completing the Monash “Executive Presence”, “Digital Strategy & Transformation” and Gervase Bushe's “Clear Leadership” Executive Education programs with Monash Executive Education.
